Alert message traffic is 100% human-initiated. This is not an automated service.
The AlertsUSA Simple Text Service is designed for straight text devices such as text pagers, PDAs and email. You receive the same alert messages as Text/Audio service. Service content contains the following:

Notification of terrorism alerts, warnings, significant threats and other incidents or developments of national significance. Alerts may also be issued regarding developments signaling an increased threat environment. Examples: Threatening Al Qaeda video and audio msgs, direct threats from other nations such as Iran or N. Korea, etc ... Unpredictable in frequency of occurrence. |
